THE AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF BEECH HAVEN
1.1 Aims
The Aim of the Staff at Beech Haven is to promote a caring environment by providing the highest standards of service that answer to the physical, emotional, social, intellectual and spiritual needs of our residents.
We actively work to encourage our residents to make their own decisions and choices, and invite an active participation from family and friends.
We believe in an open door policy and will always welcome visitors to Beech Haven.
To ensure that assessments of need will be used to develop individual care plans with the objective of meeting the aims of the home for each resident
To provide each resident with a home, equipment and competent staff to enable the aims and objectives of the home to be a reality.
Beech Haven’s philosophy is based on the belief that the residents are entitled to be treated as individuals. The care offered at Beech Haven should not be institutionalized, and the staff should ensure that care offered should be consistent with the procedures laid down to offer a safe delivery of service.
To achieve this, the needs of all residents will be fully assessed and individual care plans developed and agreed with the resident or their relatives under the guidelines of the Mental Capacity Act.
In order to achieve the Aims and Objectives, Beech Haven must possess a pleasant and secure environment, which responds to the current and future developments in social care.
