The sun shone brightly as family, friends and guests including the Mayor, Councillor Gina Burrows and her Consort, Councillor Robert Evans gathered to celebrate the 100th Birthday of Lily Currill, a long time resident of Beech Haven, on Saturday 28th July.
Mrs Currill, who was in the retail trade in Oxford, was a keen angler, an accomplished pianist and a great cat lover, and has many a story to tell of riding a motorcycle in her younger days. After distraction burglaries she moved to Beech Haven in 2001 to be near her Nephew David.
